The writers discuss their class renewal and new booklet “ Different Directions“ compiled over the summer while Armstrong was in Canada and other writers were on vacations and sending submissions via email for their group stories. The new booklet only has prose and is made up of epic stories which is where a person writes the first paragraph and it is passed on to another person for the second paragraph. Then it is passed to the next person for the third paragraph and so on. Armstrong’s efforts on compiling and editing the writer’s stories is exceptionally creative. The Golden Shell Gift Boutique is selling the first publishing of the cooperative effort for $5, weekdays 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday eves 4:30-6:30 p.m. The free class meets weekly, Mondays, 9:15-11:15 a.m. in Room 103, Nov. 2013 thru March 2014 and is part of the center’s cultural arts programs. “Different Directions” is the 13th book published from the senior center works.
